Marvel Rivals Confirms 2 New Characters, Release Date, and Hero Release Plans

A treasure trove of new ones Outwit the Opponents information was recently revealed at Gamescom 2024, including the game’s official release date, hero release plans, and new playable characters: Captain America and The Winter Soldier. For the past few months, NetEase has been building up the hype for its upcoming Marvel-themed 6v6 shooter, with closed alpha and beta tests that allowed players to explore. The story of Outwit the Opponents sees heroes and villains from across Marvel face off in epic battles after Doctor Doom unites the various elements into one universe. It’s here Outwit the Opponents players challenge each other in multiple game modes, with a 3D destructible environment and a full roster of players with different skills and abilities for any type of game. Marvel Rivals Release Date

The Outwit the Opponents then cut the images of the two newly confirmed active players. The Winter Soldier subdues his opponents with guns, energy shots, and tentacle-like cables from his robotic arm that can attack multiple targets within a small area. Meanwhile, the previously leaked Captain America rallies his allies with a charge attack before throwing his vibranium shield like a boomerang that can hit multiple enemies at once before returning to its owner. The heroic captain is also shown deflecting a heart attack from his partner Iron Man that sends part of the battlefield crashing into the opposing team.

The most amazing sight of all came at the end of Gamescom 2024 Outwit the Opponents trailer, which officially confirmed that the game will be fully launched on December 6. Better yet, all Outwit the Opponents Playable heroes will be unlocked and free to play from launch, so players will be able to immerse themselves in intense action when Outwit the Opponents finally released this winter. The game is now available in wishlists on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
